Lady Day - 6 Metre Yacht For
Sale
Below are details of Lady Day, a 1937 six-metre
yacht for sale, built for the Prince of Norway
by Anker & Jensen:
Restored to the highest standards and below deck, her varnished Oregon Pine hull seems like new.
During her restoration, aluminium web frames
were installed to carry her mast and shrouds.
Aluminium reinforcements were also fitted to
carry fore stay and backstays. Floor timbers,
although completely sound, were reinforced with
traverse fibreglass above the timbers to add
rigidity to her hull. She has a new plywood
deck and a new cocpit combing of mahogany with
teak topping and a new teak floor.
Mast, boom and rod kicker are aluminium and
her rig is rod rig. She has 9 Andersen winches,
fittings are Frederiksen and of course, her
keel is of lead. She is equipped for racing
and fitted out with an electronic compass /
tactical instrument, running gear, fenders,
painters, tools, spare shackles, fittings etc
and will be ready for tune up racing the minute
she is launched - mast is stepped.
Restored by boat builders John Walsted and
Thomas Mouritzen from A. Walsteds Boatyard on
Thurø from 2000/2001. Measured and got
her certificate from ISAF measurer Guy-Roland
Perrin in 2002. She has since been maintained
by Walsteds Boatyard.
She was painted and varnished with Epifanes
in 2006 and is ready to be launched. She has
royal blue topsides, with a white deck and bottom
and varnished mahogany.
Asking price has been greatly reduced from 100,000
